Inside this Issue – Spring 2013

Welcome to the spring 2013 issue of the S.E.C. Observer. In this issue, Gary Vandenberg, 2013President of the Society, defines the “four benefits of membership” that S.E.C. Counselors possess that allow them to better serve their clients.

James T. Wilson, S.E.C., CCIM, explains why Counselors should “educate the CPAs, Attorneys, and other Advisors” of their clients about equity marketing. Kenneth M. Vidar, S.E.C., CCIM, illustrates why marketing sessions are an essential tool for all brokers and agents. William E. Stonaker, S.E.C., CCIM, “chronicles how two formulas” led to him being the recipient of the Cliff Weaver Award for 2012. And congratulations are in order for Alex Ruggieri, S.E.C., CCIM, who was awarded the Sperry Van Ness Partnership Circle’s Award as a top advisor in 2012.

Jim Brondino, S.E.C, CCIM, is featured “In the Spotlight” of this issue and you will discover how many degrees he earned before he discovered Richard Reno, Chuck Chatham, and eventually the Society.

In the History Files, Cliff Weaver, S.E.C., CCIM, describes what you should do “if you only have one listing,” and Bill Broadbent, S.E.C., CCIM, states that “desire breeds Counselors” and what it takes to become one.
