The S.E.C. Education Foundation

The S.E.C. Education Foundation is pleased to report that on November 14th, Ted Blank will present “Tough Questions in Tough Times = Closed Transactions” at the National Association of REALTORS® Conference in Anaheim. The course is approved for four hours of continuing education credit in California. It marks the first time the S.E.C. Education Foundation has presented education in cooperation with NAR, and we hope to do more in the future. We encourage you to visit www.realtor.org/conference to access the schedule for the NAR Conference.

The Foundation also contributed some of the expenses to send two of our experienced moderators, Wes Dingler and Brandon Sanders, to run a marketing session for OCREA, the Ohio Creative Real Estate Association, in August. The meeting was a great success, and many of the attendees are potential future guests for S.E.C. marketing sessions.

In September, sixteen S.E.C. Members took a course given by Jim Wilson, S.E.C., and Peter West S.E.C., immediately prior to our Springfield, Massachusetts marketing session. The course was designed to “Train the Trainer,” so they would be able to present “Introduction to Equity Marketing and Transaction Making.” This course is available to your local real estate board or marketing group. Please contact the S.E.C. Office at sec@secounselors.com if you would like more information.

The mission statement of the S.E.C. Education Foundation is, “to establish a fund to encourage and financially support educational programs related to real estate, particularly in the area of creative transactions and professionally structured equity marketing techniques.”

In order to expand our contacts and identify future S.E.C. National Marketing Sessions, we need your help! Contact us regarding a possible course; check www.secedfoundation.com for a list of our courses and instructors, and then let us know if we can bring education or assist with a marketing session in your city. We hope to exceed our education and marketing session goals for 2012!
