S.E.C. Education Foundation

Times like these create both challenges and opportunities. This is not only true in our chosen arena of Real Estate, but also in The Education Foundation’s efforts to expand The Society’s educational outreach. Today, more than any time in more than a decade, our method of conducting business provides solutions where others don’t.

The Education Foundation has a difficult challenge. In the midst of the current market turmoil, we are working to expand our educational expertise. We began by organizing an education marketing and support function that is now up and running. Our next challenge is to recruit additional instructors and course offerings. To that end, we are appealing for more S.E.C. members who are willing to help others by teaching at least three classes a year. We understand that this is asking a lot of those who have their own businesses to care for, nurture and protect, and we understand that not everyone can make that commitment. However, if you are such a person, or know someone else who is, please let us know. I can’t remember a time when the need was greater.

The S.E.C. Education Foundation is working very hard to bring you the kind of programming that can make a positive and significant difference in your real estate practice and personal life. Besides the regular programming held in conjunction with Marketing Meetings, we have a two-day “Business Development Symposium” scheduled for mid-August, and we are planning a two-day smorgasbord of classes covering a wide range of topics for the Saturday and Sunday preceding next January’s meeting in Las Vegas.

We hope to see you at one of our courses in the near future.

Lance C. Warner, S.E.C.
2009 S.E.C. Education Foundation President
