Jim Misko

Jim Misko to teach “Finance Any Real Estate Any Place Any Time” in Scottsdale, Arizona, on January 23, 2005. Jim left school teaching to become a Realtor in 1960, starting a career that has lasted forty-four years. His new book, published by Square One Publishers is entitled How to Finance Any Real Estate Any Place Any Time, Strategies That Work. Jim has spoken in fourteen states at conventions and seminars, at the Five State Convention and at National Conventions on this subject; and taught a course based on these strategies for the Reno Educational Foundation. He has written many articles for NAR, the Real Estate News Observer and the Institute of Property Management. He approaches real estate from a problem solving point of view and finds, through counseling, the different set of circumstances each owner has. Then to get the maximum benefits for a client he applies creative thinking and devises solutions other than the standard bank or securitized loan. Bankers and Wall Street do not arrange their loans to benefit every owner or buyer, and Jim’s lively presentation along with question and answer periods, will show you a path little followed but much rewarded.

Editor’s Note: One article that Jim wrote in 1973 is reprinted in this issue of the S.E.C. Observer, entitled “Down is Up.” It is an interesting perspective that is as relevant today as it was when he wrote it thirty years ago.
